A few weeks ago we spent the afternoon with Gavin Monery, the head winemaker at London Cru.
Having just begun creating their second vintage, London Cru are the capital's only winery. While the grapes are gown by vineyards in France, Spain and Italy, everything else - pressing, fermenting, ageing and bottling - takes place here in London. They supply a number of bars and restaurants around the capital or you can order their wines online to enjoy at home.
